An Address with History

Butlers Wharf

Built in the late 19th century, Butlers Wharf was once the largest warehouse complex on the Thames, storing tea, spices and goods that flowed into London’s docks. Decades later, designer Terence Conran transformed the riverside site into one of the capital’s most iconic dining destinations, marrying industrial heritage with modern hospitality.

Today, Butlers Wharf Chop House & Tavern continues that story. Set against the backdrop of Tower Bridge, we serve British steaks and seasonal dishes that honour the warehouse’s historic past while shaping a new chapter on the banks of the Thames.

What's On at Butler's Wharf

A person in a blue apron holds a black tray with four colourful cocktails, each in a glass with a red rim and garnished with mint, orange peel, or cherries.

Summer Terrace

Join us riverside all summer long with Maker’s Mark Kentucky Bourbon and an iconic curated selection of four cocktails, including a classic Old Fashioned, a signature twist, and two seasonal serves designed for long, riverside evenings.

Plus a special Chophouse Tasting Event on Thursday 18 June.
